Research

CETINIA will advance the state of the art in the field of Intelligent Information Technologies (IIT) by means of the following research activities: 

  • Generation of new knowledge related to IIT.  CETINIA participates in research projects at European, national and regional level.  Although special attention is given to international projects, the participation in the Spanish National Plan on R&D&I is fostered and also in regional funding schemes of the Community of Madrid, including involvement in thematic networks and other research coordination initiatives.
  • Cooperation in the analysis of socio-economic problems that require research.  Problems set out by public or private entities requiring research in the field of IIT are the subject of engineering research and scientific analysis.
  • Training of young researchers.  Pre-doctoral researchers as well as young post-docs are being trained along CETINIA's major research lines.  The active participation of young researchers in the Centre's research activities constitutes a key part in their training programme.
